ABOUT THOMAS WANGSMO
I am a filmmaker based in Oslo, Norway in my early thirties, with a Bachelor's degree in film from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth in England, and a Mster's degree from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. During ten years of filmmaking and film studies I have written and directed eighteen short films and one feature. The feature film, In the Dark, is premiering in Norwegian cinemas in January 2012.
I have made films on most formats, including 35mm and 16mm film and numerous digital formats, such as RED, HDCAM, XDCAM and DV. My positions on the productions, besides writing and directing, usually also involves editing, and has sometimes also included producing, cinematography, art direction, costume and sound design, which has given me great technical and practical insight in most aspects of filmmaking.
